3.3. Install eSIM into your phone

Note that installation is not the same as activation. Installing your eSIM in advance will not start the expiry of the plan. You need to activate the eSIM before your flight or upon arrival. Your phone will automatically connect to the local network, and the plan expiry will begin.
Manual activation may be required based on your provider.
Check if your purchased eSIM requires manual activation. If it does, I recommend activating it just before you fly while still connected to your home network, as internet connectivity is essential for activation.
If you don’t see the button to manually activate your eSIM, it will automatically activate when you arrive at your destination and connect to the network.
