DONG HOI SIGHTSEEING & STREET FOOD BY BICYCLES HALF-DAY

Dong Hoi is said to be a small tranquil city with laid-back atmosphere. Therefore, this little town is considered the perfect destination for relaxing after the exciting adventures in Phong Nha. A half day cycling trip around the city with historic monuments and the local food will be worthy slowing down in your vacation to Vietnam.

During your tour, you will meet local vendors who are welcome to introduce you the type of food they sell. This is a great chance for you to learn how the food was made, or how the traditional food helped the locals to survive through the hard time.

Whether you are travelling in a set plan or are you open to any chances to explore the world, don’t forget to reward yourself with the hidden charms waiting for you in Dong Hoi.

Suggested itinerary:

2:15pm: Meet up at Hai Dang Hoi Hotel (77 Truong Phap, Dong Hoi, Quang Binh) to pick up your bicycles.

2:30pm: Cycle to Tree Hugger Cafe for a drink and the tour briefing. Enjoy a detailed briefing about the route and study the map to get better acquainted with the journey that lies ahead.
3:00pm: Prepare yourselves and get ready to embark on an exciting adventure as you receive your bikes. It's time to hit the road and explore the various enchanting destinations on our itinerary. From the Tam Toa church ruins to experiencing the vibrant local life Dong Hoi market, you will be captivated by the beauty and charm of this region.
3:30pm: We'll take a break from our exploration to indulge in a delicious meal at a local restaurant. Be assured that this eatery boasts an authentic culinary experience, away from the tourist crowds. You will have a try of Vietnamese pancake, tapioca clear dumpling, steamed rice cake with shrimps, and how about taking a food challenge: Balut?
4:30pm: Cross the Nhat Le Brigde and explore the Bao Ninh Peninsula where so much fun is waiting for us. We will stop at a small shack along the river and learn how to lift up the square dipping net. If you are lucky enough to catch some fish (or whatever), you will have chance to grill what you’ve caught and have some beers with the local host.

6:00pm: As the evening approaches, we will head to a local store for sweet soup or gruel as dessert. This delightful and refreshing treat will be the perfect ending to our journey.
